The DETCOG Regional 9-1-1 Emergency Number System, as authorized by the Texas Legislature and subject to the Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC), exists to facilitate the regional plan for 9-1-1 emergency telephone service. Program staff develop, assist in the implementation of, administer and maintain the state enacted 9-1-1 emergency telephone system plan to make available an optimal emergency reporting service for all individuals within the DETCOG 12- county region.
