  TEXAS DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS ASSESSMENT

A very important program for your community and our region in the Texas Domestic Preparedness Assessment.  This program is being administered by the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) of Texas A&M, the State Division of Emergency Management and with assistance by the Council of Governments.  This is an Assessment that every community (county & city) should complete.  The assessment is completed by evaluating information about your jurisdiction, which will identify and measure  your jurisdiction's risks, capabilities and needs.  When the assessment is completed, the information provided will be used to assist in updating the State Domestic Preparedness Strategy and allocating domestic preparedness resources.  jurisdiction must complete the assessment to be considered for funding under this program.  The assessment takes the place of traditional grant applications.
