The DETCOG Regional 9-1-1 Emergency Number System, as authorized by the Texas Legislature and the Texas Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC), exists to provide an optimal emergency reporting service for all individuals within the DETCOG 12- county region.
There are 16 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in the DETCOG Regional 9-1-1 System.
DETCOG is responsible for the administration, planning and implementation of the approved Strategic Plan. Plan components include: equipment and network procurement and maintenance, GIS, ALI database maintenance, public education, and calltaker training.
